Our Care Model
Therapeutic Care, Woven Into Everyday Life
At Lonsdale House, support isn’t a service — it’s part of daily living, ensuring every child feels safe, understood, and empowered.
How We Support Children at Longsdale House
How support is delivered day-to-day
Children live in a fully supervised home with 24/7 staff presence, structured routines, and consistent boundaries. This provides stability, emotional safety, and continuity of care.
Staff use trauma-informed, attachment-aware approaches, support emotional regulation, and respond to behaviour with understanding to maintain a calm, safe environment.
We work closely with Local Authorities, clinical teams, education providers, and families where appropriate to ensure consistency, accountability, and positive outcomes.
Each child has a bespoke care plan informed assessment and clinical oversight. Clear goals are set and reviewed regularly to ensure support adapts as needs change.
We coordinate health and mental health services, manage medication safely, support education engagement, promote social and emotional development.
Safety is promoted through prevention and de-escalation. Restrictive interventions are a last resort, and incidents are recorded to support learning and accountability.
